Press release | Richter launches new partnership with the World Trade Centre Toronto

Helping Canadian businesses expand globally

Richter is pleased to embark on an exciting new partnership with the World Trade Centre Toronto (WTC-T), supporting its Market Activation Program (MAP). With this partnership, Richter will lend its expertise to business owners and entrepreneurs in the Greater Toronto Area that are leveraging WTC-T’s resources and reach to develop their businesses internationally. Through MAP, businesses are able to participate in outbound trade missions to learn more about specific local markets, and meet with potential suppliers, vendors or partners on the ground, to help them go global strategically and seamlessly.

“So many Canadian businesses are in a prime position to expand globally,” says Richter Tax Partner and Chief Economist, David Hogan. “WTC-T’s MAP is helping them do this strategically. We at Richter are proud to be working with the World Trade Centre Toronto to help business owners prepare for their growth by providing audit, tax and consulting expertise as it relates to international expansion; so they can go forward in the most financially efficient manner.”

“We are proud to have Richter join our Market Activation Program as a foundational partner,” said Leigh Smout, Executive Director, World Trade Centre Toronto. “Richter’s holistic approach supporting business through tailored solutions will help Toronto region companies reach new markets and grow their business, especially when navigating the challenges of cross-border trade.”

Richter will be assisting MAP participants in their corporate structuring and financial strategy to optimize taxes, tariffs and working capital when venturing abroad; will counsel on compliance and regulatory obligations for Canadian firms trading internationally; and will help businesses understand the implications of setting up an overseas branch, subsidiary, or partnering internationally.
