Richter acted as investment banking advisor to GFL Environmental
July 2019 – Richter acted as seller advisor to Canada Fibers in the sale of the business to GFL Environmental.
Canada Fibers is a leading operator of material recovery facilities for the recovery and processing of recyclable materials providing recycling processing services to municipalities across Ontario. GFL Environmental is among the largest diversified environmental services companies in North America, providing a comprehensive line of non-hazardous solid waste management, infrastructure and soil remediation and liquid waste management services.
The addition of Canada Fibers’ operations to GFL’s existing collection networks will create new opportunities to provide integrated collection, sorting, processing and marketing of recyclable materials.
