Richter appoints six new partners


Richter is happy to announce the appointment of six new partners to its leadership team. Richter’s newest partners are: Olivier Benchaya (Restructuring), Scott Binns (Tax), Tanya Greenidge (Tax), Stéphanie Lincourt (Audit), Shawn Rozansky (Audit) and Stéphane Marcassa (Tax).

Olivier, Scott, Tanya, Stéphanie and Shawn have been with Richter from the start of their careers. Throughout the years they have all shown tremendous dedication to Richter and to their clients. Each of these individuals has devoted time and energy into growing their own skillset and expertise in a variety of unique industries, while also contributing to the success of the firm.

Richter also welcomes Stéphane Marcassa to the firm. Stéphane is joining our Tax division, based out of the Montreal office. Stéphane has decided to join Richter in large part because of our entrepreneurial culture and shared vision for success. We welcome him to our team to help build on the momentum of our tax practice.

Olivier Benchaya, Restructuring

Olivier Benchaya started his career at Richter in 2003, working in the firm’s Assurance division. In 2008, he chose to specialize in business turnaround and restructuring. Since joining Richter’s Restructuring and Insolvency group, Olivier has played a key role in many major and complex engagements. Olivier is often called upon to develop and implement restructuring plans and financial projections, and is adept at working with various stakeholders in order to find strategic solutions for the issues at hand. 

Scott Binns, Tax

Scott joined Richter’s tax division in 2002. He plays an important role in the firm’s internal tax training programs and was an evaluator for the Common Final Examination (CFE) for CPA Canada for several years. Scott advises both corporate and individual clients on a wide variety of tax issues, including reorganizations, estate planning, inbound and outbound structures and all areas of Canadian income tax compliance matters.

Tanya Greenidge, Tax

Tanya Greenidge joined Richter in 2003. During her career in the Assurance division, she had the opportunity to supervise several teams and take part in various engagements involving companies in the apparel and manufacturing industries. She then joined Richter’s Tax division in 2008 and has developed an expertise in Canadian corporate taxation, mainly with regards to medium to large-sized privately owned corporations. Tanya is involved with the firm’s internal tax training program and is helping to develop Richter’s Mentor & Apprenticeship Program (MAP). 

Stéphanie Lincourt
, Audit

Stéphanie Lincourt has 15 years of assurance experience, having developed particular expertise in the real estate and automobile sectors that she uses in serving her various entrepreneurial clients. Over the course of her career, Stéphanie has managed a number of major engagements, including for the Homburg Canada Real Estate Investment Trust. Stéphanie has been involved with Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) since 2010 and has served as its President since 2017. 

Shawn Rozansky, Audit

Shawn Rozansky has considerable experience in a variety of industry sectors including innovation and technology, manufacturing and distribution, transportation, retail and charitable organizations. Clients rely on his proactivity and timely communications throughout the year, offering suggestions for business improvements in order to maximize profitability and operational efficiencies. He is a member of the ProMontreal Entrepreneurs Fund and is on the Board of Directors, Finance Committee and Audit Committee for YM-YWHA of Montreal.

Stéphane Marcassa, Tax

Stéphane is joining us from Barsalou Lawson Rheault, where his practice focused primarily on advising clients in the field of indirect taxes with respect to their operations and transactions. Prior to this, Stéphane spent almost 20 years at a Big 4 firm, serving national and multinational clients and advising them on various topics including M&A, cross-border transactions, compliance, and tax refunds.

Stéphane is a member of the Quebec Bar and holds a Graduate Diploma in Taxation from McGill. He is also a member of the Association de planification fiscale et financière (APFF), the Canadian Bar Association, and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
